Well, polarized lenses are a very important part of our sunglasses because they not only help to protect your kiddos eyes, but they also allow for clearer vision in bright light, increased contrast and minimal color distortion, reduced glare and reflection, and they reduce eyestrain.
You know when something is super bright and you find yourself squinting and straining to see? Well, that glare can cause eye strain and discomfort, and polarized lenses help to get rid of that for your kiddos. No more hearing, “It’s too bright!” or “my eyes hurt!”.
If you and your kiddos spend time outdoors, polarized lenses are a great option because they can help you see better in high glare situations.
Sunnies are not only polarized, but they are 100% UVA/UVB protection. Another mouthful, but a very important aspect of eye protection for your kiddos. So, what does UV protection mean? Well, UV protection lenses (like the ones on every and all pair of Sunnies) work by shielding your eyes from harmful UV exposure. Harmful UV exposure can lead to eye damage in the long term, so you need to make sure your kiddos have that UV protection built in. But, UV lenses don’t prevent glare, which is where polarized lenses come in.
